Workshop: Learning to See – Nature Through the Artist’s Eye

Hosted by CBS Permahaven with botanical illustrator Kirsten Tind

Date & Time: Sunday, 30 November 2025, 10.00-12.00.
Location: Kilen, CBS Campus – Room K.2.53

How often do we truly see the natural world around us – not just as scenery, but as a living network of forms, colours, and patterns?

In this hands-on workshop, renowned Danish botanical illustrator Kirsten Tind (kirstentind.dk) will guide participants through simple yet profound exercises in observation and drawing. Through her lens, we will rediscover the beauty and intelligence of plants — their shapes, structures, and delicate symmetries — while learning to slow down and observe with intention.

Drawing on the permaculture principles “Observe and Interact” and “Design from Patterns to Details,” this workshop invites participants to cultivate ecological awareness through creative practice. You do not need to be an artist — only curious, open, and willing to look closely.
