It was wonderful to see familiar faces and meet new ones as we explored the beauty of permaculture, shared the harvest results, and celebrated the start of a new season together. 🍎🍇 We hope you left feeling inspired and refreshed!

We can’t wait to see you all again for more events and collaborations in the garden. Until then, happy gardening and stay connected with nature! 🌿

Permahaven Team at the CBS Nordic Nine Fair!

aldi.msc@cbs.dk · 02/09/2024 ·

The Permahaven team had a fantastic time participating in the Nordic Nine Fair at CBS, where we had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with new students. It was an incredible opportunity to share the exciting activities happening in Permahaven, all rooted in the values of the Nordic Nine.

We proudly showcased how we:

  • #7 Produce prosperity while protecting the prosperity of future generations.
  • #8 Grow through relearning and by teaching others.
  • #9 Create value from global connections to benefit our local communities.

We’re thrilled to welcome these newcomers into our community and look forward to cultivating a prosperous and sustainable future together!

News from CBS Permahaven

aldi.msc@cbs.dk · 20/08/2024 ·

Our team had the wonderful opportunity to present at the Nordic Academy of Management (NFF) 2024 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Albina Dioba shared the research on “A randomized field trial for Generation Z engagement with collective urban gardening practices.” It was an enriching experience to connect with fellow scholars and dive into meaningful discussions on this exciting topic. You can find the slides from the presentation on our Teaching and Resources page here.

A heartfelt thank you to the Aurora University Network for the support, and to the “Organizing for community in disruptive times and spaces” track coordinators, Anna Uhlin and Lucia Crevani, for their dedication and guidance.

We are looking forward to continuing this journey of growth and collaboration!🌱

Permahaven highlighted at CBS Summer School Microcredentials course

aldi.msc@cbs.dk · 05/07/2024 ·

Permaculture: A Regenerative Solution for Business, Community and Lifestyle

Maribel Blasco and Isabel Froes had the wonderful opportunity to run, for the first time, a 2.5 ECTS microcredentials course entitled:  Permaculture: A Regenerative Solution for Business, Community and Lifestyle, which used CBS Permahaven as a point of departure. Isabel and Maribel taught the class, which took place over a 2-week period.

We were lucky to have attracted a group of engaged students from all over the world, who were eager to learn about permaculture and who shared their experiences from their own cultural contexts with us.

Students were introduced to the permaculture design framework, and together explored how the framework might support regenerative approaches to business, lifestyle and community. They applied some of the permaculture principles in Permahaven, and also enjoyed an engaging trip to the urban farm, Østergro, in Copenhagen.

We look forward to hopefully offering the course again next year.
