Permahaven highlighted at CBS Summer School Microcredentials course

aldi.msc@cbs.dk · 05/07/2024 ·

Permaculture: A Regenerative Solution for Business, Community and Lifestyle

Maribel Blasco and Isabel Froes had the wonderful opportunity to run, for the first time, a 2.5 ECTS microcredentials course entitled:  Permaculture: A Regenerative Solution for Business, Community and Lifestyle, which used CBS Permahaven as a point of departure. Isabel and Maribel taught the class, which took place over a 2-week period.

We were lucky to have attracted a group of engaged students from all over the world, who were eager to learn about permaculture and who shared their experiences from their own cultural contexts with us.

Students were introduced to the permaculture design framework, and together explored how the framework might support regenerative approaches to business, lifestyle and community. They applied some of the permaculture principles in Permahaven, and also enjoyed an engaging trip to the urban farm, Østergro, in Copenhagen.

We look forward to hopefully offering the course again next year.

Event Recap: Maribel Blasco’s Lecture on Permaculture Design at the European-Ukrainian Hub

aldi.msc@cbs.dk · 10/06/2024 ·

On June 6th, 2024, the European-Ukrainian Hub hosted an enlightening event where Maribel Blasco, Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School, delivered a compelling lecture on “Applying Permaculture Design Principles for Business and Life.” Attendees were engaged and inspired by her insights into the integration of sustainability with commerce.

Maribel’s insights are paving the way for businesses and individuals alike to rethink their approach to sustainability. Her ability to translate complex permaculture concepts into actionable steps left everyone empowered to make a tangible difference in their professional and personal lives.

A Hub of Collaboration and Hope

The European-Ukrainian Hub served as the perfect venue for this enlightening event. Nestled on Copenhagen’s picturesque waterfront, the 1,400m² space is more than a hub; it’s a symbol of unity and collaboration, dedicated to rebuilding and rejuvenating Ukraine through shared efforts and innovative ideas. The event also reinforced the Hub’s mission to unite Ukrainians, Danes, and Europeans in a collective effort towards positive change and sustainable growth.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this event. Stay tuned for more inspiring events and lectures at CBS Permahaven.
