One of the objectives for creating Permahaven, was to bridge the advantages of Permaculture thinking onto students’ business knowledge. Now, students are able to partake in Permahaven activities and get Student Citizenship Points. Besides facilitating academic add-ons to their current business knowledge, Permahaven is a space for students to connect with nature and find peace in their busy student lives. The activities in Permahaven should not be perceived as working activities. It should be perceived as peaceful pauses of relaxation and connection to something more than human.
As a student volunteer at Permahaven, you are expected to partake in all or most of the following activities to obtain your student citizenship points:
- Introductory event for new students about Permaculture – August 30.
- 5 activity sessions over a period of 6 months. ( This can vary from Yoga sessions in the garden to weeding and maintenance days in Permahaven. )
